Raised in the Seattle area, Chef Shota Nakajima received his culinary training at one of Japan’s most prestigious cooking schools in Osaka, followed by an apprenticeship with a Michelin Star chef. 
  
Naka, located on Capitol Hill at 15th & Pine, offers contemporary cuisine inspired by Japanese kaiseki- a multi-course progression and one Japan’s most traditional meals, balancing flavor, texture, appearance, and food color.  
  
Naka as a focus on craft cocktails led by Nik Virrey, who brings his mastering of liquid libations to Naka’s bar from nationally recognized Seattle bars, Liberty and Tavern Law.  
  
Front of house veteran, Jason Lock, has intimately curated a wine list focused on unique wines and winemakers from around the globe, but with a distinct focus on Washington, Oregon and California.
