Spring has Sprung!
Congratulations to the Seattle Concierge (SHCA) for putting on a great trade show last week.  We had a good time, met new people and had a chance to visit with so many friendly, familiar faces!

It’s Spring - a wonderful time to tour the beautiful Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island!
Visitor Center - Bloedel Reserve
Bloedel Reserve Visitor Center
The Mission of the Bloedel Reserve:

“The Bloedel Reserve is an internationally renowned public garden whose primary mission is to provide a tranquil and refreshing experience of nature. The Reserve’s 150 acres are a unique blend of natural woodlands and beautifully landscaped gardens, including a Japanese Garden, a Moss Garden, and Reflection Pool, and the Bloedel’s former estate home. We invite you to visit this Northwest treasure.”

Our Bloedel Reserve tour is offered on Sunday, Tuesday and Friday mornings.

This world renowned, award-winning estate garden is beautiful in any season but many feel that the rhododendrons are one of the most spectacular features.  Rhody’s have started and will continue with various varieties blooming into the summer with the peak in May.

Learn about Fat Cork…

About Fat Cork

The story of how Portland native Bryan Maletis began selling Champagne’s finest grower selections to a world wide audience starts with highschool jobs in a distributor’s warehouse and ends with meeting the right woman at the right time.

After working harvest as a winemaker’s apprentice in Chianti, Bryan ultimately became Winebow’s then-youngest Brand Manager in NYC with a special focus on Champagne Laurent-Perrier. The front row seat to the business of bubbles gave Bryan’s passion for all things bubbly new traction.

Eventually moving back to the Northwest, Bryan met Abigail in Seattle. Abby loves sharing a bottle with Bryan, and has never doubted him in this quest to bring the best of the world’s bubbles straight from the vintner’s cellar to your door.

Whether it’s once a day or once in a while, Fat Cork brings you the finest grower Champagnes in the best possible condition. Bryan and Abby raise their glasses to all of the growers with whom they work, as well as to you, the smart consumer. Cheers!
